Riffin' in High Places
The city of Teotihuacan sits at an altitude of over 7,000 feet! A little piece of trivia that was conveniently left out of the itinerary. Needless to say, by the time we wrapped up a 30-minute set in which we left it all out on the stage -- a sentiment that included bass guitar fragments and an Amoeba Music pin -- it was an experience that literally took our breath away.
They like us!
They really like us!
As we tore into the opener, newly released single 'Fine Lines (Far Cry),' it appeared all was well. The stage was a little slick due to heavy rain, the monitors were a little useless, but we were feeling good. No noticeable fails, Josh only fell once — he insists he did so on purpose — and, lo and behold, those large patches of empty space began to steadily fill up. To our surprise, there was even an audible cheer when we launched into our closer, 'Vapor'.
